This morning (Sunday) the carrier popped on with
Sherry in progress at
5:37:44, so while someone was lurking out at the Lumberyard last night to
finally reset the sign-on time for May, they still failed to fix the lamptimer's
real time drift which is now approaching eight minutes on the late side.
Q: Did I mention there was no legal ID at sign-on?
A: No, but why bother? There almost always never is, unless the
time-of-day and the TOH automation manage to meet up. :
BTW, he first song to be aired in full was
Do You Love Me by the Contours.
A nice touch by the Goldminers, who probably knew that the usual KOOL
fave--and demo buster--wouldn't get any spins this weekend on 94.5 as
it's a That '70s Weekend...well, actually it's a '70s Playlist Weekend but
what's in a name?
KOOL-FM aside: it's always good to hear Katfish (with K) Kris Kelly on
the weekend. He's always up, puts on a good show, and seems to be
the only live voice on Saturday and Sunday amid all the voicetracking.
Now if KOOL would only let Lee "master of the talkup" Bortel also air
live, in a midday or afternoon weekend slot.
