Uhhh, No!

That is just a ridiculous statement. When's the last time you heard of a board op being sued over a half-baked rumor or "Mis-infomation" that was posted by somebody? It isn't going to happen.

Don't kill the messenger

Hey, I'm only saying what the fear is, from the perspective of the folks who own the board. Whether or not it's a realistic concern is a whole other issue, but not for me question

Realistic is in the eyes of the beholder.

When running a site such as Radio-Info, the maxim "better safe than sorry" applies. In terms of legalities, the honest truth is that the opinions of the posters on the subject of the rules do not matter.

Now, next time someone wants to challenge that, I'll invoke R-I Rule #5 and delete the thread. If there are repeat offenders, the owners will deal with it.

Re: Don't kill the messenger

I agree, better safe than sorry. Let's take it a step further, though, and not allow ANY posts on the board. How much safer can you get than that? :)

Re: Don't kill the messenger

I think it is already happening, unfortunately.

I would rather have the board go quiet during periods when there is nothing really happening in the market than have a lot of posts from people who could care less about the rules and about the legal concerns of the owners.

You people sure complain a lot over something that is free of charge to you.
______________

Wow, and I hear that a former VP for a radio company is giving up home made BBQ sauce for fish tacos.
______________

You said a mouthful, the meat of this board is gone. Now they'er cutting the fat, there's not much left but a few bones.

Kansas City BBQ is very over-rated: the best ribs and brisket I ever had was in Oceanside.

Hell, no. I'm sticking around to at least watch the Anal Retention Show!
(It's a comedy)
