So sammi with an "i", why are you using a guy's name to post? And everyone thought you loved the liner cards. Without them, you would have nothing to say.

I know you think CB held the guys back, but whether you like it or not, their numbers went up when they cut the chatter. I don't listen to them one way or the other, but I have heard about the ratings. Look at them and see for yourself. The numbers are there in black and white. You are correct in your comments about the midday woman. She does not know the format,her shift is loaded with mistakes, and her rank has dropped consistently as well.

I hear you...but I ask you again...why did their numbers increase? Is an increase in numbers a bad thing? They are the lowest daypart on the station, but they were improving under CB. Yes,less talk, but isn't the goal to have higher numbers? My friends at the competition knew B and J talked too much also and capitalized on it with their morning show. I may not be in the ZPS corner, but I have eyes to see when ratings improve.

I agree, bring back JD. And whoever thought I was Sammi, you are wrong. I am glad to say that I am Mick Ferguson from Ft.Worth, former on air talent in DFW.
I am sure that Sammi and the rest of the KZPS crew would not have a problem coming forward using real names to express the joy they feel now that Christie Banks has exited. I have a good friend that works in the building and to my understanding a party was attended by many this past Saturday in honor of Ms. Banks departure. As for personality, Sammi has it and so does everyone else on the air at KZPS. I do agree it would be nice for JD to come back, now that his thorn has left. Vets of the market like Bo and Jim, JD and Sammmi have been here for a long time and even if it's not at KZPS, they will be here longer than those who don't have a clue as to what this market is all about.

Sammi, was in Houston last and when she came on at ZPS she had no experience in the classic rock format and zps was trying to target some hispanic audience with her last name Martinez...how do I know this..I used to work there. As for Magoo...IMHO he is extremely boring and brings nothing new to ZPS, no histiry in the market either...he needs to go IMHO... Sorry for the confusion Mick. The post sounded like something sammi would write. I don't know if you worked with the woman, but from what I understand, she spends more time gossiping amongst her co-workers than she does doing a show, and her drop in numbers proves that fact. Like many others on this board, it bothers me to no end when I see a jock posing as someone else to make themselves appear better.

I have to agree with you on this one-- Magoo is not very "listenable"... I actually CAN"T WAIT to get to the next song or the stop break just so I don't have to listen to him.. I am not knocking him for his personality-- I don't know him personally at all-- I do however listen-- and it just seems very--- I don't know-- boring is the best I can say... It doesn't give me a reason to want to tune in to his show to hear something that I think I would miss-- because there is nothing to miss... unlike when Bo & Jim are doing bits or something-- it gives me a reason to want to tune in to hear their antics... just an observation.
As for Jon Dillion... I would suspect that it would take A LOT of undoings from CC to get him back. Its a great thought and the sentiment is there from all of us to bring him back.. I just can't see how that would work-- there probably is still a lot of hurt from when he was released.
And to the person who said to bring back Pamela Steele... all I can say to that is: RIGHT ON! I would love to have her back in mid-days... a tremendous talent and a great personality that does come across the airwaves well. Still one of the very best voice talents in the area. Hope she is doing well!

Pamela Steele is working for Danny Owen the last time I heard. They have a nice production studio,and did some things for John Rody on his Itsthezoo.com. She came back to radio briefly about 2 years ago for KZPS,hated what she saw and negotiated her way out.
