Agreed. It would be great having JD back on the air at KZPS.

That said...

It's highly amusing to me that the talk of his return focuses on *his* feelings, or *his* decision to return, not whether CC would even consider having him back. He sued them. Hello? Hypothetical questions such as "would he want to?" or "only if the money was right", etc matter very little even if local management wanted him back. Would San Antonio allow it?

Wasn't CC's President of Programming Tom Owens the PD of KZEW once, when Dillon was there? Did they get along then? How about now? Do you think Owens would allow someone to sue the company, and then turn around less than a year later and bring them back? Explain THAT to the Mays brothers.

The only way Dillon would return is if it's part of a negotiated settlement of the suit, not because he decided to go back or they decided to backup the Brinks truck at his house. While that would be a good outcome for Jon, it would be perceived as a loss for Clear Channel, and a thorn in the side of the company. His new tenure would be as brief as contract law would allow.

What a happy reunion.

Several good points. On one note in the early 80's the Pd of KZEW was Tom Owens BUT Q102's PD was another Tom Owens. So is the CC Owens the same as The KZEW or Q102 Owens?

JD is laid back,perhaps too laid back, however Like Chapman he had a loyal audience and still brought in the cash. He is far better than Sammi, who is more of a chr jock than classic rock. She is not that versed in it. Magoo is more Wichita Falls material than DFW. He reminds me of an 8th grade science teacher showing educational films that crackle and jump. His energy level couldn't light up a penlight. Maybe the New Pd has seen the error of KZPS's ways, and will restore it back to its luster or once again dilute what little talent they have over all now. If so,then CC might decide to install a Spanish talk station there..shudder. Farfetched,but hey we are talking CC mentality.

Frankly, many of the oldtimers sounded bored. And I would be too playing the same stuff day after day after day.

DUDE."Phat ass"? Simply brilliant from that one cell mind of yours. Your CD audition at KVIL is being saved for the Christmas party plus in case there is an ice storm in Jan. or Feb. It will make a good windshield scraper. An oaklawn commando like yourself should be looking on the help wanted boards both medically for your condition and for gaining employment. That unemployment check of yours doesn't stretch well.
