A NEW ERA AT 93.3 KDKB

Why not play Alice's Restaurant? It's a great thanksgiving song!

It's no longer congruent with the direction of KDKB.

Every radio station must evolve. Sometimes, that involves letting go of old traditions. This is one such time. I know our sister station will serve those wanting to hear that particular song very well.

And thus, the difference between the two becomes clearer.

ha, it probably never really was "congruent" with KDKB's direction. Sometimes things hang on longer than they should. I remember airing the Grateful Dead hour there, and that wasn't too many years ago, and I remember thinking that it was bizarre seeing how we hadn't played a Grateful Dead song in probably a decade.

By the way, I love your show, great job, keep up the good work........

Thanks David.

You just jarred a long-dormant memory of my first airshifts at WZLX (coincidentally also owned at the time by KSLX owners Cook inlet Radio) hosting "Dead-Ahead." Nothing says "fun" like handing a metal-head a stack of Grateful Dead CDs and saying "Just pick anything you want."

Unbelievably, I followed direction, and the Deadheads thought I knew what I was doing.

...Drugs are bad mmmkay?

The genius of playing Grateful Dead songs in any mix possible is that you can do whatever you want because someone out there will think it's totally groovy.
