So basically it's what an AC station sounded like many years back. It will likely attract women over 50 but that may be the business model for Vanguard.
And how will it make a dent on KMGA's ratings? KLQT's AC experiment failed miserably several years ago.
Every station over the last several years that has tried to take on one of the established brands has resulted in low ratings around a 1 share. That was likely a factor in buying out the Univision cluster. Only KABG has successfully established itself. Aside from that American General had a classical station which is not a format used by commercial stations, a Spanish station in a low rated battle with La Jefa while the 106's tried unsuccessfully to challenge Kiss, KOB-FM, and most recently The Peak, and an AM station relying on a 99 watt translator. So adding Kiss and Coyote makes it more competitive with iHeart and Cumulus. But iHeart's current attempt to challenge Kiss with "real hip hop" is not doing much for the ratings neither has 104.7 in taking on Big 98.5. So any station that does not have a heritage brand is likely to keep struggling.
