Adam Cook (P.D. XL1067) arrested

say what?

Your comments were very clear and obvious- poor Adam Cook, they baited him and that's unfair. But, I give you points for making such an effort to backtrack.

I stand by my statement.

Re: Interview with the Arresting Officer

Probably not since nobody listens to that morning show.

Re: say what?

Well you stand by a lie, and you misconstrued what I said.
I said nothing positive about what he did.
What I said, was that Law enforcement setting traps is unfair. Quite Big Brother of them. Apparently you think in the same manner.
I suppose you back the President spying on the American public as well.
So do you vote Socialist, Communist, or Nazi?

"error in judgement"?

Are you high?

He repeatedly engaged a person he thought to be a 14 year old girl in explicitly oriented sex talk since May! He went so far as to GO AND MEET HER IN PERSON! "Error in judgement"? At the very least! If someone comes on to you and you have a moment of weakness and cheat on your wife, THAT's an error in judgement. Repeadedly contacting a person you believe to be 14 and actually going to meet her for sex is...A CRIME. He met her with the obvious intent of having sex with her. That is what's called PREDATORY BEHAVIOR. This act is abouve and beyond an error in judgement---unless you think prisons are full of people who made an error in judgement.

If the prospect of getting a "gig" makes you stoop to minimizing this behavior and redirecting blame, than maybe you should get into another business where you don't sell your sole for a "gig".

he is high

Haven't you noticed you're standing alone on this one?

Big Brother- Nazi- Communist. Lil' paranoid, are we? By the tone of your responses, maybe you also engage in some sort of strange, ugly behavious, as well, and are looking over YOUR shoulder? Makes us wonder.

(for the record, I find the current President's spying posture totally distasteful, disgusting and impeachable. I also find your stand on Law Enforcement traps questionable. Entrapment is one thing and that is wrong.
This was not a case of entrapment- he had propensity for the act and repeated it over a 6+ month period. HE STEPPED IN IT, nobody dragged him kicking and screaming, and he's admited it! Check out the arrest record with the Citrus County Sheriff's Department).

Re: he is high

Spying and entrapment make sense when you're talking about an enemy of the country wishing to nuke several cities. In this case the police would be better served to use cameras to entrap Florida drivers who run red lights. Far more people are hurt by their actions.

sorry

Uh, no. This was not entrapment. The news is full of reports of undercover officers posing as teenagers on the 'Net- you'd have to be blind & deaf or in denial (or totally arrogant) not to know this is going on.

Entrapment is only the case if the suspect does not have a propensity for a history with the kind of crime they bait him with. Not the case here- he had over 6 months of back & forth and cultivated the situation and physically showed up to consumate things. And, in the arrest report, he admitted he went there to have sex with a 14 yr old.

If it was your child, you'd know the potential "hurt by their actions" would feel like. Duh. Sexual predators are EVERYWHERE- to just sit back and say,
"y'know, speeders and drunk drivers kill a higher volume of people, so let's just let the pervs do their thing and concentrate on volume and not worry about the predator here and there- after all, it's just one or two kids at a time they're harming" (and this is all under the assumption this is an osolated incident- these rarely are).

Almost as compelling as fishing for compliments about your own show...
