You've got it backwards. The local talkers are on standby to fill-in for Rhodes, not the other way around. I'm listening to local talker Johnny Wendell on Clear Channel's KTLK in Los Angeles and he was just talking about filling in for Rhodes the other day because Air America was using a "best of" one of her shows. Wendell said "We don't do best-ofs."
By the way, Wendell is worth listening to. You can stream him on Saturdays from 10am to 1pm, PT and on Sundays from 10am to 2pm, PT.
