Adult Swim on Cartoon Network

Inuyasha isn't in production in Japan anymore. Whatever the episodes that Adult Swim show now are ones that were made two or three years ago. It will be a long time before we in the United States get to see the conclusion of the Inuyasha anime series due to dubbing it in English in Vancouver,Canada. Big O was okay but I won't call it a "classic". Cowboy Bebop is, but not Big O.

The real problem is the editing of pornographic images and the dubbing of certain naughty words in the English verisons they show on Adult Swim. The real English dvd verisons are a little more risky even for Adult Swim. So if I were you, I just get the dvds instead of watching the censored verisons of the show. They may be expensive but you are getting the real deal instead of butched verisons of anime. Plus, you can watch it in Japanese with English subtitles.

As a member of an anime/sci-fi convention anime aquisitions team, I can tell you this...

You are correct that Inuyasha completed it's run in Japan with a total of 167 episodes, they have made 4 movies and word is the 5th is in production (another word is that it will be the final movie)

Looks like Inuyasha one-upped it's predecessor Ranma 1/2 in everything except OVA's with Ranma having only 161 eps and 3 movies (though 11 OVA's, in the US movie 3 was bundled as a 12th OVA)

I wonder if they will do an OVA series for Inuyasha?

Then again Urusei Yatsura beats all Takahashi series to date in this respect.

On a side note, I'm waiting to see how chopped up Neon Genesis Evangelion is going to be.

I think Adult Swim is Garbage!!

Its just more of todays crap geared for OLDER AUDIENCES! (It doesnt make it any better)

I think Bugs bunny, etc is MUCH BETTER!!

I used to watch these shows but I've gotten so burnout of the block altogether, right around the time of those super dex-whatever bumpers for a website they were adverting. I agree with whoever say it's the same joke over and over on their original shows. I didn't watch much of their anime, but that's because I don't like censored anime. However, I do understand why they have to do it.

Face it, Adult Swim was better when it was only on for a few nights of the week. Now, it's overkill because it's on all week long.
