Actually for a long time in Detroit, Rush was on 1270 (WXYT?) before migrating to WJR in the programs move to "move the program to the flame thrower signal" switch in the 90's.
My understanding is Rush got his WABC time as initially a seperate show from the network show in sort of an odd exchange between WABC got talent, Rush got time.
