I just read Al Martino passed last October. Did not hear a word about this on the radio or tv, just went to google him. For the amount of talent and quality of music he was under-rated.

I enjoyed his stuff. Even in the 70s with "To the Door of the Sun." "Spanish Eyes" still gets a lotta airplay on standards stations. Even sappy stuff like "Painted, Tainted Rose" he had a knack to make work.
He even charted up to #49 on the Hot 100 in 1977 with "The Next Hundred Years."
