RRDAVID (or is it scott miller).

Not sure what numbers you have, but they are dead wrong. I buy media from both CC and CBS, they've both given me the Numbers, we buy the agency package. Your quotes ain't even in the ballpark. The former NCX moning show had those numbers you mentied for ONE WHOLE MONTH. that's it.

My post was not in defense of the previous show as much as a correction of a misleading statement.
I repeat, the current show on WNCX is not outperforming the previous show by a wide margin.
I too buy agency packages because I am an agency. I buy CBS, Clear Channel and Radio-One. Anyone can call a radio station, tell them you are going to buy and a salesperson will show up with numbers lickety-split. They will manipulate those numbers in their favor. Ask for straight up rankers in demos filtered however you want; Cume, AQH share, average rate of exposure etc. It’s not hard to weed out the BS and see the real story.
The so called “agency package” you are buying is just that. It’s a package designed to manipulate the numbers and take advantage of higher rated day parts to sell the whole.
The Scott Miller reference was cute. Seems to be the norm here to assume that whenever someone posts pro or con regarding a former/current show or format that the post was generated by someone that has or used to have a stake in the game. I have no stake, other than representing my clients to their benefit.

And people wonder why I don't get into ratings on the blog. :D

Look, I heard the "no one's listening" about Maxwell's new show when it debuted on WNCX. I even saw a picture of the "Congratulations for no listeners" plaque I presume was sent over from Oak Tree.

But I don't track the ratings on a regular basis for a few reasons...and I have seen nothing about Maxwell's show since that opening. I presume it would have to have improved.

You can read the numbers by posters here, but I don't really know who these anonymous people claiming to be "agency buyers" really are.

The AC show sounds dated and forced. And the crew around him--the comic and girl, is an old formula done to death and they are both super weak, add nothing intelligent to the mix. I'm not a fan of Maxwell, but have listened recently. It's a better show that AC-by far. Smarter, funnier. I would have to think his numbers are getting better there in the mornings.
