IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH 96.1 AFTERNOON HOST FAMILY WHAT MIGHT THAT BE?

Re: jay davenport

Here, let me offer a suggestion to fix everything in Montgomery.

Regarding formats: Run 46 minutes of dead_air interrupted briefly with commercials and a legal ID. That eliminates the need for competition. Also, keep the dead-air format for at least 4-6 consecutive books so we know if the ratings are accurate.

Regarding Jason Davenport: Skip and Terry brought up a good point. Don't dig holes for yourself. A post like "Shake Up Soon?" immediately after a bad book always sounds harsh, regardless of intent. Leave radio alone and get an MCO job at Channel 32 the next time somebody quits/gets canned (trust me, you won't have to wait long). Then leave the radio board alone for a while and people will leave you alone. Besides, I think you're a better producer than jock. Don't feel bad. I'm a better producer/engineer than jock. There are people in town that are better at than me at all three. Such is life.

Regarding John Garrett: For the most part, he's his own boss, and good at what he does. The sound of his show didn't really matter much to me, since I was usually on the other side of the studio wall running a different format. You get the chance to enjoy life, so enjoy it, John.

Regarding Bluewater: Thanks for bringing back Boortz, continue to leave Jamz alone (although you do have a tower light out at the Transmitter site), who cares if Alice took a hit (I listen to it when I'm not using Sirius), don't care much for country (so do whatever you want with BAM), and by the way, thanks for the job. Call me sometime.

Regarding Cumulus Montgomery: It was a good 2 1/2 years. Thanks and God bless.
Oh yeah, hi Skip.

Regarding Clear Channel Montgomery: Um, nice server closet.

Finally, opinions are like a--holes. Everybody has one and everyone thinks the other guy's stinks. Nobody really cares for what I have to say, so they can just skip to the next post if they want. That's the beauty of these boards. Personally, I like hearing what everyone has to say. It really ups the entertainment level around here.

BTW, I realize my post contradicts itself. Deal with it, you should have already moved onto the next post by now.

Everybody have a great evening.

And how do we know that? Research, man, research! We surveyed 98 People in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and they said that Montgomery listeners are all dumb rednecks that listen to Skynyrd 24/7.</P>

you guys are all crazy. alice had the best book it's had in core demos in years. beat fox in many sex/cell/demos/dayparts in Adults and is nipping on the heals of Mix.

Um .. at my highest rate of teacher pay during the 2003-04 school year, I topped out at around $10 per hour after taxes and deductions. And that was with a 50+ hour work week and more stress than anyone should endure.

Just a nonrelated side note..

Montgomery Radio never changes, just the voices and the owners. It's not really any different now than when I worked my first shifts in the late 70's.

Why did this old crap float up to the top?

Why did this old crap float up to the top?

Just researching the original poster. Trying to figure out who he is. I'd like to know more from those who worked with him.

2 yrs later and my stance on alice has changed, since i now work with bluewater, a great company headed up by 2 of the best people in radio, Rick Peters and Terry Barber.

in nearly 2 yrs i made a name for myself producing greg budell's afternoon show and some bits on alice.
