OK, maybe I am one of only a few dozen people in Memphis watching Studio 60 on NBC, but, here’s an aside:
As part of the "Christmas Show" (which has played twice now), the show featured a set of New Orleans musicians assembled by the Tipitina's Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to rebuilding the City’s musical heritage. Their all-brass rendition of “O Holy Night” will simply give you goose bumps.*
For those of you stuck in the rut of “All Christmas,” y’all need to play it. Beyond being simply brilliant music, it has a message appropriate for this time of year. And, it surely beats the stuffin' out of 90% of the garbage recycled this time of year.

I dunno… maybe it’s more meaningful to me, being educated in The Crescent City, and having a mother who just moved back into her house after beginning her Biloxi remodel with a bulldozer. But, in any event, treat yourself, and at least listen to it. Stunning.
