All-News Large Market Scoreboard for July

Summer is not prime weather for the All-News format. But most of the stations held steady, with KCBS San Francisco going up to #1 in San Francisco and rival KGO having its best numbers since switching to a mostly All-News format. Unfortunately the three newest All-News stations, KROI Houston, WYAY Atlanta and WNEW-FM Washington all lost a bit of ground in July.

1. New York...WINS #8...WCBS #9
2. LA...KNX #15 tie
3. Chicago...WBBM/WCFS(FM) #3 tie
4. San Francisco...KCBS/KFRC(FM) #1...KGO* #12 tie
5. Dallas...KRLD* #23 tie
6. Houston...KROI(FM)^ #25 tie
7. Washington...WTOP(FM) #2...WNEW-FM^ #23
8. Philadelphia...KYW #3
9. Atlanta...WYAY(FM)^ #19
10. Boston...WBZ* #4
(11. Detroit...WWJ #2)
(13. Seattle...KOMO-AM-FM #19)

* part-time All-News station
^ station signed on last year

All stations are owned by CBS except KGO and WYAY (Cumulus), KROI (Radio One), WTOP (Hubbard) and KOMO (Fisher).
