I don't think so. 107.5 Frank is pretty straightforward classic hits. New Hampshire's Frank seems to be pretty much the same musically.
The "Jack" format will toss in rhythmic titles from the likes of Earth Wind & Fire or Stevie Wonder - often shockingly close to rock songs from the likes of Quiet Riot or Def Leppard. The stated idea is total variety. Yes, "Jack" leans rockward, but anything that was a hit could be played. Frank basically eschews anything too rhythmic and sticks with the rock n roll side of pop.
If you live within range of the Boston/NH area, give a listen to 106.3 Frank - then 93.7 Mike - and you'll clearly hear the difference.
Portland could get "Jacked" and WMGX is a potential candidate. But, is there really a call for the format in the market? Already there are a lot of diverse signals available in the area, covering anything that a "Jack" would play.
Then again, who would have expected Infinity to blow up CBS-FM in NY - so anything is possible.....
