You didn't listen to WIFE, WNDE, WXLW, WAKY, WOWO, and/or CKLW?

I lived too far from Indy to pick up WIFE and WXLW, and I think WNDE didn't go Top-40 until 1976? I listened to WOWO a couple times when on vacation in NC. WOWO was more of an AC format I think, so didn't interest me. WLS and WCFL were playing the music I wanted to hear, so I didn't do much searching for other stations. Of course I later learned of the Indy stations, after getting into radio, and would have loved to have worked at them. I did apply for a job at WNDE, in 1977. I still have the rejection letter, but they did recommend me to another station in Huntsville, AL.

Thank you Fred Bergendorf for the KNX traffic sounder that is so great, it's still in-use since 1969. "Boo-boo-boo (boo-boo-boo-boo)." I LOVE it.
Paging Mr. Oaktree. Right?![]()

There's a Sig alert in the Media Hut parking lot everytime the Gremlin rolls in! That boo-boo-boox2 sounder clears the lot of all the gila monsters, scorpions and day laborers.
KOOL Listener Lauren said:Your Gremlin could cause a Sig Alert every time you Buckeye Boyz hop on any lane of the I-10! Especially with all that oil leakage since '76!
Sig Alert: right lane closed for cleanup.
