Since WRTO Chicago built new towers, their signal pushes a bit further into Lake County Indiana at night. I hear them loud & clear during the day, & at local sunset, WOAI does start to stomp on WRTO, but even after San Antonio sunset, when WRTO switches to their night pattern, I can still hear WRTO more than I used to. I lose some of the signal around Merrillville & around Hobart. They can't go too far into Indiana in order to protect WOWO Fort Wayne on 1190. When they were at their old site, they were only at 1kw at night. Since they were forced off their old site, the new site is only 6 towers (4 used for day), whereas the old site was 8 (4 used for day), & they're at 4.5kw at night, & 20kw during the day (10kw day on the old site). Unless I get into Crown Point, Hobart, or outside of Lake County Indiana, I don't hear WOAI too well (used to lose WRTO's signal once I got out of Hammond on the old site).
