.... It is hard to imagine WTMJ being anything less than full service, news talk...

I agree. WISN is giving them a battle in the ratings ratings, but I'm pretty sure WTMJ the top billing station in the market by a wide margin. This new cluster could turn out to be quite a force in the market. Although WTMJ is news-talk, they have the Brewers, Bucks, Packers and an established evening sports talk franchise when those teams aren't playing. The cross-pollenating has already begun. A couple of WTMJ sports guys were guests on WAUK programs while I was listening.

400-watt David has just swallowed Goliath, so it'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

Days::::Nothing

Nights:::A mixture of 50KW CBK in Saskatchewan Canada ( a new Catch ), and ( claimed 100 watts ) XESURF serving the San Diego-Tijuana metropolitan area. I was able to listen to Rod & reel radio, with some fades. They are not knocking out 100 watts. If I had to guesstimate, its 5KW

At night, I get 25 Kw XESURF out of Tijuana. There's a KRXA in Monterey which airs a Spanish Catholic format, but I don't think the signal is strong enough to make it to the East Bay.
