600

990
1060

6 talk 18 music! WOW! How does this compare to other states? Some of these stations were on the fringe but come in clear on my CCrane radio in Livingston.
I thought it was reported WIST went standards.....
Most of those are religious stations that do a lot of praise and worship music and usually are owned by churches
That eliminates 600,750,940,1460 and a few others.
You are on the northshore which I find is like most places where people still air music on the Am band, I know here I can't catch country on AM at all
Here is a run down for me on the Bayou (Houma/Thibodaux)
640 - Oldies/Talk (he still does Moon)
690- reported standards
750- religious (daytime only)
800- religious music/talk
830 - spanish a/c
870- WWL talk
940- Black gospel
990- Talk
1010- religious talk last I listened
1060- religious talk
1150- WJBO talk
1230- Old school r&b
1260- R&B
1280 - Black Gospel (waste of a signal on what is already airing on 940 IMO)
1350- Sports
1380- Relay of spanish station
1430- Swamp pop from Morgan City
1450 - Radio Disney (through the noise)
1490 - ESPN Sports
1510 - Swamp pop from Buras
1540 - Spanish
1590 - Variety (talk, R and B, supposedly country but hadn't heard it in about 2 years)
1600 - Swamp pop relay of KLRZ 100.3
I would love more music variety on the AM band than this. Most stations that would run country in other parts of the nation are running the regional favorite swamp pop after Gisclair made the format work
