Good God, Valley, why is it that if one posts a negative personal opinion against a station's offerings, right away someone like you jumps on and accuses the poster of having worked for the person the comments are about? I have never worked for Buck. I don't even know Buck. As I stated before it was only my personal opinion of their switch. If you listen and find he music very nice, that's your opinion. Am I attacking you for your opinion? No.

Please specify what I said that brought on your comment that "Did you ever consider there are millions of people in the world who own radios *and* have no interest in pop music from the last 20-25 years?" If you're gonna attack my general opinion, show me where I alluded to that before you smear me with allegations.

Go put looser drawers on, dimwit and read the first amendment. You might learn something.

Anyone reading your posts in this thread certainly got the spirit of your message and juvenile attacks against the station owner.

Along that line of your mind reading of the people on this board as a whole and your curious, but 690 very knowledgeable attack on my post, I guess it's safe to assume as well that no one reading your posts would would believe you're only a "long time lurker." Making up accusations? Please. My point was that many people enjoy the type of music being played on 690.

I'm heartily sorry for having offended you by my unintended implications that you are an advocate of pop music.

For all I know, you may have had your heart set on 690 flipping to show tunes, Cleveland-style polka or a 24-hour Islamic prayer format. Whatever the case, I'm sorry the station isn't meeting your approval.

Wow, I can't speak for Skip but I didn't know George Buck was blind. I knew that he did his jazz show from his house and not the studio but I didn't know he was blind.

I don't know Skip but, I don't think anyone on this board would take a cheap shot like that.

Mea Culpa but I didn't know he was blind either. I don't know him and I've never met him. I've just seen references to him on this board as the owner, and my posts were directed at the owner, not the physical man. My father used to use that expression, and Ronnie Milsap used it in a song called "Every Now And Then."

C'mon, it wasn't meant to be a cheap shot or a personal attack on a handicapped man. It was inadvertant and unintentional. It was part of one listener's opinion and comment on his new format, which I now wish I had not posted and shared on here and will not again.

I apologize to Mr. Buck if I caused any grief. How was I supposed to know?

It was obvious to me that your statement was not a shot at Mr. Buck's handicap, but just an accurate appraisal of his radio "record."
He has had a habit of hiring "nuts," (Namer, the loon before him, the loon before him, etc, and now this silly fellow.)
I do like his (Mr. Bucks) jazz colection and show, but then, I'm a geek.
I wonder if the radio guy in "Brother where are Thou" is fashioned after him.
I think Mr. Buck is a good guy who lets idiots take control of his stations because he trust the wrong people.
But remember, I don't know squat.
I mean it.
