Had a feeling that this would be the format they'd go with. It's Jack FM but not. Looks like they're channeling KCBS-FM with the legal ID: "Broadcasting from a dumpy little building in Brighton."
Entercom flips CHR WODS-FM (103.3 AMP Radio)/Boston to Adult Hits as "Big 103," "Music Unleashed." The Adult Hits station on 103.3 FM is now boasting a vast music library the 1980's 1990's and 2000's. Key artists include Guns N' Roses, Prince, Journey, Madonna, Pearl Jam, The Notorious B.I.G., AC/DC, Britney Spears and Blink-182, among others.
"As we continue living through one of the most challenging times in our country and the world, we are committed to providing comfort by delivering optimistic and entertaining content to our listeners," said Mark Hannon, RP/MM, Entercom Boston. "BIG 103 will be a straight-forward, no nonsense sanctuary for fans focused on great music and artists, accented with an irreverent tongue-in-cheek approach that reflects the spirit of our city."

Big 103 it has to be classic hits leaning though.
So you'd expect the Spears and Biggie tracks to be quietly eliminated so as not to drive potential new listeners back to WROR, WBOS or WZLX?
The billing data some of you folks were viewing was likely (a) very stale or (b) based on accounting tricks designed to make the numbers look better than they truly were.
The plot thins, er, thickens...A post on boston-radio-interest is saying a call change on way:
WBGB.
If so, maybe this isn't just a quickie format placeholder...?
Or (pure conjecture) eventually a format and
call swap: WEEI- FM Sportsradio 103.3 and
WBGB Big 93.7
It's happening. If you do a call sign query on the FCC database, you'll find Entercom has requested WBGB, probably for WODS.
Why would Entercom do that? WEEI-FM is the cluster's highest biller and is usually a top-3 biller in the market. How much more would it bill moving it to 103.3, and how would Big do on a poorer signal? Granted, stranger things have happened, but I can’t see a change like that happening.
Also, according to the release, the station will be jockless "for now."
Sorry for posting twice in a row.
So did they fire the AMP personalities?
They are jockless.
Did they specifically announce any firings though? Maybe they are jockless due to corona virus.
Or Mike...which seems to be forgotten about.
Or Clear Channel's WHBA 101.7 "The Harbor", one of a couple of brief transitional throwaway formats between purchasing alt-rock WFNX and launching country WBWL "The Bull".
They said they would be jockless, and the format is known for rejecting jocks. The specific target of Jack stations, for example, is people who hate stupid DJ chatter.
