Let us NOT forget the other AMP markets as well...Lafayette, Bloomington and Fort Wayne. Lafayette letting Dana go, now running 4 stations with 5 people (Gaven Todd, Stephanie Patterson, Scottie Blades, Mike Warner and Steve (?)). Fort Wayne with 3 people on 2 stations in market 104 (Kenny Edwards, Dale Christopher and a new girl in AM Drive).
In Fort Wayne alone, they've shown at least 10 on air people the door over the past 3 years alone, including Ron Gregory, Jay Michaels (2x), JJ Davis (3x), Dave Michaels, Chevy Smith, Guy Forrest, Bill McCubby, and Ken Knapp just to name a few.
These people are working HARD and go into work every day expecting to get fired, because that IS the AMP way. 1 person to do 3 or 4 people work and the upper management takes all the rewards.
NEVER slam the people that work for AMP...for the most part, they do NOT know what they're getting into when they sign on. A rosy picture is painted of successful stations, and then once you're there, you see the cancer that is eating the place alive. And then the only option (thanks to non-competes) is to move away.
From a competitors point of view, Amp should stay the way it is, because they are so easy to beat...and so predictable. From a jocks point of view, Bernie was right...someone who knows what they are doing needs to come in and fix the place.
You know...if Art would just stay away - ahhh, wishful thinking...
