Nascar isn't a "sport".

Stop, let's not get into this. It's a competiton, which relies on strategy and technology and engineering.

perhaps. could careless about whether people think it's a sport or not. But when being I'm being squeezed for 3.30 a gallon I cant help but think about how much good use that gas is really going for.

Considering they use leaded gas, probably not a lot.

considering it all comes from the same crude oil that we can't refine fast enough to meet our energy guzzling needs, probably alot. Thanks.

Feel free in your hyperfocused loss of the big picture to carry out a one-man protest of Sunoco, as they are the sole supplier of fuel to NASCAR. Now, do you have anything relevant to add to the original topic at hand, or can we move on?

Feel free with your childish attitude of always having to have the last word to just move on and not have a comment for everyone's opinion they are all entitled to. This and the original topic basicaly proves you always have to be right so yes I surely moved on a while ago. 600 reads later no one still agrees with you on WFAN so it wasnt much of a relevant topic. Ohhh I'm sure you'll reply to this too with some wise comment. Go for it. I wont even read it.

Boss Radio: yes, actually I do, that and about 1000 other ways we waste natural resources, all the time (mentioning Nascar by itself maybe was a bit unfair, bu apparently everything is taken so literally around here. heh)

I'll never forget listening to WFAN back in Feb 2001 and hearing Steve Summers in a way like only he can describe that he had never seen the kind of reaction on the WFAN phones than to the Dale Earnhardt death at Daytona. I think it opened the eyes of everyone at the station!

If anything NASCAR on a national level has only become more popular since then, and if NYC gets the track that's rumored for Staten Island, maybe NYC will become a NASCAR hub after all...It'll never be Charlotte or Atlanta, but there has to be some fans amoung the 16 million people that live there.
