Careful! I don't agree or disagree (disclaimer). But, ironically, watching "Idol" for the first time this season last night..I noticed the opposite. With an entire session based on this genre...and then a "special segment" line up of Freda Payne, Thelma Houston, and KC of Sunshine Band fame attempting to perform live...I have to wonder. Granted Simon's eyebrows were up alot, but if your point is true, I highly doubt this production would be dabbling in these waters.
T'was I to whom I referred when I said such would not be repeated. That was so long ago that there are only two ways such could ever be repeated. It's better if it isn't, although I know there are those who feel that since they missed out on the party they should get a whack at it too, playing dress ups and all, and finding any number of ways to express themselves.
Tis now I see the light! Twas you that attended the funeral...that others now are resurrecting Thus, Silkie, has dimmed the lights, left us this way, and shall see no more boogie nights.

It was a good time back in the day. The best anyone can hope for is to bring back a different version of it while using the music.
