Andelman Brothers

I hope WRKO will find a spot for them during the week. They definitely now how to attract advertisers.

I am sure RKO would be happy to drop Avi Nelson and sell the Andelman Brothers two hours of time on Saturday afternoons.

I wonder if Pat Whitley has some exclusivity in his deal with RKO. I doubt it but as RaccoonRadio says you never know . The Andelmans may not think that RKO's geriatric audience is worth the time, cost and energy. They struck the deal with TKK to move to Friday mornings partly because they didn't want to work on Saturdays doing the show and many of their events were on weekends.

Woody Gieissmann is running his infomercial for his rehab clinic on RKO in the same time slot that he had on TKK.

Maybe the Andelmans can do a show and syndicate it around to various stations especially on
FM. I think WBOQ has stuff like gardening shows on weekends; picture perhaps them there, and/or
on WATD, WXTK etc....
I think Whitley's Sun show is syndicated too isn't it? Or used to be. Pat used to do politics on
RKO (9 am slot etc.) but later admitted he stuck to the Restaurant Show and didn't want to do
politics as it would turn off potential advertisers...so it's dining stuff only for him now

I miss their show greatly! I asked the brothers directly a couple of weeks ago at one of their events about the radio show, I was told they're unsure about doing another radio show.

Years ago,Whitley bought time on various stations as an insurance policy in the event that RKO choose to not continue their deal. If RKO cut him loose he could still offer his advertisers a large enough audience on his "network" I don't think he purchased time on any other stations for quite sometime as the prospect of RKO not selling him time is remote.

The Adelmans are only interested in a barter deal in which they keep most of the inventory or a strait out purchase of time. There really isn't any need on their part to strike deals with smaller stations around New England. The radio show was as much about promoting their other businesses and their vanity as it was making money of spots.
