Now that CC has Bob Rivers Show in morinings at Oldies 95.7 in Seattle I wonder if they will pipe it in down here on 103.7.

That would then make two morning shows for SF that are based out of Seattle...

Until today, oldies1037.com pointed to WQOL in Vero Beach. Here's the Google cache version from early Friday:

Come on CBS should shut down 1550 AM for good and why would a classical music fan listen on AM? I think 103.7 would run over KFRC 1550 AM. When does 93.1 fm in LA change its call sign to KNX-FM 93.1 and keep its format so the 106.9 FM frequency can drop the KFRC call letters for KCBS to match the 740 frequency. Then KDFC have to wait for a station to get a licensing agreement in San Jose to get an FM station there. But then again KBOQ 103.9 in Santa Cruz could get an a agreement to obtain a San Jose station too if the FCC permits this?

Answer to your question - never. The vast majority of listeners don't care about call letters and TOH IDs. CBS is free to refer to 106.9 as "KCBS" during the hour. The same with "KNBR 1050." The network specific call letters generally always go to market #1 and #2 - New York and Los Angeles. I don't know an instance when they've left #1 and #2 to go back to a smaller market. The only mystery is why CBS didn't take the KCBS-AM call letters to LA in the 80s, when they changed KNXT to KCBS-TV, and KNX-FM to KCBS-FM. I'd speculate it was because KNX (AM) was a heritage station doing very well in the ratings at the time, and so was KCBS-AM here, so you don't fix what's not broken.
