Yet ANOTHER Magic Jock is MIA? Could the rumors be true? First TM, now DS, with his usual eloquence, exits the 8th floor? TWO drivers on the 100kws within a week. Who had yesterday in the DS quitting pool? My money was on July3rd….dammnit!

Do you think he went to michaels old spot DJR? is this just another Tragic hole in the sinking ship? whos next? jump now the water is coming in faster.

Dave is a good guy, I'm not surprised that he left Trajic. I guess Pollard ran him out the door again,upper management needs to look and see who caused so many talented folks to exit the building.
 
One can't blame DAVID SOMMERS, shows you how BAD things are at Magic if the Radio People look stable. No offense to the Dothan market, but DAVID SOMMERS is an amazing talent and he could easily be in a top 25 market. I hate it for Reinhart, Pollard, K.C., J.J., Elizabeth, Big Mike and Stephano. One thing about it woth Magic, it never gets boring there for in house DRAMA!

Yet they have winning ratings...that's why I never know if the contempt toward Magic on this board is out of jealousy or not.

He just stopped showing up," says MAGIC Director/Programming CHRIS ALAN, who will hold down the fort as interim PD until a replacement is found. Interested? Speaking of KRIS VAN DYKE, his schedule just filled up a bit as he'll assume afternoons at Country WTVY/DOTHAN following the exit of afternooner DAVE SOMMERS last week.
 
I know it killed the cat, but curiosity demands I ask....does Magic forego non-compete agreements?
 
Did you hear KRIS VAN DYKE yesterday? He sounded old and tired and not just rusty. Man, I hope the grind of trying to keep afloat a deserting ship isn't taking too much of a toll on him. Sounds bad, though. Sorry to hear it.

When THEY changed his duties from what was in his contract, THEY voided said contract. Thus, the non com is null and void. Magic contracts are worth slightly less than the paper they’re written on, anyway.
 
Thanks, '76. In my experience (and not a good one), a company can change a staffer's duties and unless the staffer files a complaint over the change, they accept the non-compete as originally laid out. Good thing for this Dave guy they don't know about that! When it happened to me, I got smacked with a C & D and ultimately had to wait out the term of the contract.
 
please, for heaven's sake, would you anti-ap folks get some gumption (the ed will not let me say what i want) and pool your money and buy that damn station.

run it the way you want and let's see the money you make.

(reminds me of all the haters who said "i wish i had "the x" back")
