Any April Fool's Jokes that might happen?

WBRU retro shows are new music and the rest of the dayparts are back to somewhat old school. I would say the April fool joke has already been started. ;)
They're playing music and introing songs as if it was 1995. At work, when I was listening, they introed Smashing Pumpkins "Tonight, Tonight" as of their new Album, Melancholy(sp?), which came out in 95.

Funny but I heard them play a drop in by Johnny Reznik of The Goo Goo Dolls mentioning the cutting edge of rock. Now I guess you can make them the cutting edge of hot ac. The Goo Goo Dolls talking about the cutting edge of anything is enough of an April Fool's joke.

Yeah, I remember when Goo Goo Dolls were pretty big on the alternative seen.

As for the Fun 107 contest with JoJo, I think in order for it to be an April Fool, I think it would have had to have been announced on April 1st.

WFHN is actually holding a contest that I think MIGHT be an April Fool joke. I'm not positive, but I think it could be one. If you listen for your cue to call, you'll win a PRIVATE brunch with singer JoJo at the Candleworks Restaurant in New Bedford. And the brunch does take place on April 1st.....

Doubtful. Fun 107 is the last station I would expect to pull an April Fool's joke. And if any of the jocks do anything, guaranteed it didn't have prior approval.

I tried to give out a 4 pack of passes to rocky point, $100 give certificate to Almacs, and tokens to the Dream Machine at the Lincoln Mall

Rocky Point hasn't been open for YEARS!!

I know, but the sheer utter euphoria I get from remembering trips with my family to rocky point needed to be transfered to the listening audience. There is actually a documentary in the works, when I find out more about it I'll make a post about it.

ssetta-think that's the point. Should have thrown in a shopping spree at Zayre, Caldor or Leechmere....some food from Pub Dennis and gift certificates to Child World

Or how about the Warwick Musical Theatre, Ames, and Ann & Hope? Man, I only lived in Rhode Island for 6 years, and even I can reminisce about businesses that have since closed their doors.

Seems like only the Italian restaurants stay in business (I wonder why!).

My favorites (in order):
Marchetti's in Cranston
Campanella's in Cranston
Caserta's in Federal Hill
And some other place on Federal Hill that Buddy used to frequent. I loved the place, but forget the name.

I'm sorry, what were we talking about?
