Any times when two FM stations from 2 different states come in at the same time?

For me just S of Charleston, I have at least five frequencies where stations from two different states come in.

This occurs most often on 97.3, when I can turn my Grundig S350 and hear either WMNX/Wilmington, NC or WAEV/Savannah (all summer this happens).

This also happens on 96.5, where I can get either Fayetteville (classic rock) or Savannah (country) by turning the antenna. On 107.9, sometimes I can get 3 stations: Charlotte, Myrtle Beach, and Hilton Head/Savannah. On 101.3, I can get either Wilmington (country) or Sumter, SC (urban), which can be a weird contrast.

The weirdest is on great DX nights. Sometimes, on 105.9, I can get Orlando (oldies), North Myrtle Beach (easy listening), and sometimes, I can even get the translator from Sumter on the frequency. It seems surreal to hear a commercial for a Disney theme park, then turn the antenna and hear very soft music.

Here in Poughkeepsie, I get three stations from three different states all the time on 88.5: WNJP-Sussex, NJ, WEDW- Stamford, CT, and and WFCR-Amherst, MA. Interestingly, none of the states is the state I'm in, which in New York. When a bit of tropo kicks in, it's not unusual to hear WCII-Spencer, NY also, thereby including NY state in the mix. Then when there's some real good tropo, WXPN from PA will blast in, and wipe everyone else out.

Re: Any times when two FM stations from 2 different states come in at the same t

I live in Springfield TN which is north of Nashville near the KY line. It happens with 2 frequencies here. On 89.9 I can either get WAYW New Johnsonville TN or WSOF Madisonville KY. On 104.1 I can get WIKY Evansville IN, WOGY Jackson TN, or WUCZ Carthage TN.

one time tropo opened up to the north northwest and was able to catch
