Anybody notice the jocks are off The Bone's website? Foreshadowing?

I have a dumb question about that. Please forgive my ignorance everyone, but I have always wondered why the FCC won't let them upgrade to a 100,000 watts. Is there anyone that could explain that to me. Every other FM station on the dial looks to be at full power, so what makes 93.3 different?

Sounding a bit different already

Likely the "close" proximity of stations on neighboring frequencies..Cumulus has clearly made some changes to the programming at The Bone. The overall sound of the station is different and they've positioned themselves as "The Rock of Texas." I guess anything is better than before.Any thoughts on the new morning show they're talking about in seven days? Surely they're not going to pipe in Walton and Johnson.

In a word, spacing. There are several 93.5's nearby, including Brekenridge, Crocket, and Greenville (Susquehanna bought that one to improve 93.3's signal; it was far worse when it signed on). There are also three nearby 93.1's, including Bells, Tyler, and Dublin, and we can't forget about KNOR 93.7. KDBN isn't able to upgrade much, if at all, due to all of these nearby stations and having to offer them protection under FCC rules.

Clearly this is not the case..... The Bone's Playlist is now even more "Classic Rock", and all that conveys......Could care less about "The Morning Show".... I don't do Mornings.....And, if I did, it would be listening to MUSIC, GOOD MUSIC (ie, NOT FM "Classic Rock" PLaylists....)
