Curious as to how highly the Nassau-Suffolk market ever did get.
The population there has remained pretty stable since the huge real-estate speculation days of the Eighties. And other markets have grown bigger the past quarter century.
I recall them being # 11 in the country at one point. That would have been 12+, of course, instead of the 6+. Either way, with the place lacking an actual downtown hub, that's pretty impressive.
Anyone know for sure what the loftiest ranking the market ever got was?
