Anything going on today? Rumors?

Personally... I AM enjoying myself! And I GUARANTEE that many others are too! I started this thread on this snarly (and every other description Dr P used) gossip chamber so the truth could be told...

Let's not polish a turd here; Said person's EGO is what lead to the demise of one of the greatest radio stations ever. It wasn't allll corporate!

30 year resume? (Scoff) 10 years as a delinquent who had to move from town to town and 20 years riding the coat tails of the greatest Memphis radio jacket ever! Is that what you're holding up as an effigy?

I'll step down.... But on behalf of A LOT of people (scroll up for some of those names)... I had to say it!

I know enough to realize that Spencer had some strained relationships with some of his colleagues. I'm not going to cast judgment on Tim because I've never met the guy. I'm not surprised that there are those who are not heartbroken that Tim is gone now.

I think CCR was just like Gotham City in the first Batman Movie....remember Jack Nicholson's line as The Joker? "What this town needs is a good enema...and I'm just the guy to give it to 'em!"

Tim had a number or responsibilities at CCR, but tenatiously hung onto Rock 103 with a death grip. It's current state just goes to show you that the corporate approach is a roadmap to disaster. The only thing that kept people tuned to Rock 103 was the personalities....and now that they are gone....voice tracked, or syndicated....so is the audience. All of Mr. Spencer's 'talent' couldn't keep listeners there when Bad Dog passed on.....and frankly, the two of them without Bev didn't really work, and Ric was marginally better, but it still wasn't the same. Sometimes in this business you catch lightening in a bottle...they had it, and now it's gone.
