Anything good on TV?

My must see TV list includes

Sunday:

America's Funniest Home Videos
The Cleveland Show (TiVo)
Once Upon a Time
The Simpsons (TiVo)
Family Guy (TiVo because it's too fast-paced)
American Dad! (TiVo because it's too fast-paced)

Monday:

90210 (okay, I didn't say everything I watch has to be good)
2 Broke Girls
Mike and Molly
Revolution (not that good but I'm fascinated by how they'll get the power back on)

Tuesday:

Hart of Dixie (although I have no idea why)
Raising Hope (TiVo)
Emily Owens, M.D.
New Girl (TiVo)
Go On (why I stick with it I don't understand)
Apartment 23 (TiVo)
The New Normal (TiVo)
Parenthood

Wednesday:
The Middle
The Neighbors
Guys with Kids (TiVo)
Modern Family
Suburgatory (why?)
Nashville

Thursday:
Big Bang Theory
30 Rock (TiVo)
2 1/2 Men
Scandal
Elementary (TiVo)

Friday:
Malibu Country
Last Man Standing
Undercover Boss

Saturday:
On the Spot

Along with movies, mostly on weekends, "Jeopardy" five nights a week. I have seen all of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", supposedly, and I believe there's only one episode left of "Rules of Engagement", which was on a different night when first run and supposedly never rerun on CBS.

These days you get about 1,000 TV channels from Satellite and Cable, compare to 25-30 years ago, only about 5 TV stations in most major market. Are there any programs that are worthwhile watching? So far, I so sick and tired of trash tv, and nothing else is on. It is so bad, that the only channel is worth watching is PBS, and the premium channels like HBO, SHOWTIME, CINEMAX etc. Other channels like MTV, VH-1, TLC, Spike, TV Land...etc, are all trash. Who wants to watch

Here's Comes Honey Boo Boo
16 and Pregnant
Jerry Springer
Any spin-off from the Kardashians
2 and 1/2 Men
The Real Housewives....
Survivor
Swamp People
Chelsey lately
The Bachelor/The Bachelorette
Toddlers and Tiara's
etc.

Still wondering why Big Bang appeals to so many viewers. Guess I'm just getting old.
It's my favorite show.

I started watching for Kaley Cuoco, but I just have to like Leonard and Sheldon. Sheldon reminds me of me, except I'm not a science expert and I don't even read comic books or like super heroes. I like Denny Crane better than Captain Kirk. "Smallville" on The CW was an exception. I was as devoted to their official message board for nine years as any geek. Most of the group that was there when I started left, and even some of the newcomers did too before the end.

The major appeal is the guys being so clueless and Penny being so smart, and vice versa. Amy is a big addition to the show, though.

I haven't heard of most of them, so don't feel too bad about it.

To life!

I never see people on tv spending 70 hours a week watching tv.
I wonder why that is?

Because it's different. Every other comedy involves a young dysfunctional couple and their kids.
(i.e. Up All Night, Ben and Kate, Modern Family, etc., etc.)
This is why I liked Futurama and The Critic when they first aired. Futurama and The Critic to an extent broke away from the typical dysfunctional couple with kids formula you see so much in prime time animation/cartoons.

I tried watching BBT before but I couldn't get over seeing "David" from Roseanne running around in that modern day geek-centric universe. I know shouldn't confuse actors with their former tv characters but Roseanne was such a memorable show in the '90s.

But with all that said, I personally don't pay much attention to current television these days other than live non-scripted events and news.
