Are the rumors true?

Good call, Steve! Let's remember why we're here... we all have a love and passion for radio. And let's be honest, there's not a whole lot of us out there, so we've gotta stick together!

Just to clarify one thing. The reason that many, including myself, do not use our real names on the board is that some of us work for a nationwide company that monitors boards such as these. Using your real name on even a non-company related blog, as a former employee of National Public Radio has learned, can get you fired. It can also keep you from getting hired.
The safest thing these days may be to hold all opinions to yourself or keep them insipid, but God, how boring!

I hear Bruce St James is going to be PD of all three since he already PD's KZON and KMLE, it just makes sense to cut costs

The 5:30 half-hour this morning on KOOL-FM produced an event
that was nothing less than a SHOCKER!

It's a "spring training double play weekend" and the artist was
Van Morrison...but neither song played was Brown Eyed Girl.

I've just lost all confidence in PD Kris as a classic hits programmer. ;)

To quote the great Alan Thicke and Gloria Loring, "Now, the world don't move to the beat of just one drum. What might be right for you, may not be right for some." Everyone has their own thoughts and opinions about people. Results may vary. As for mine, Kris is a great guy. I've had the pleasure of working with and knowing him over the last 15 years. I doubt the so-called "haters" have that long of a history. Brooks, I am sorry if you had a bad experience. Hopefully there WAS personal interaction. It's been my practice not to comment on people I don't actually know.

That's all. Going back into my locked studio now ;-)

I know for a fact that Brooks Garth is an X CBS Insider.... "How is your side business going?" o it's out of business.... opps

Does this mean it's also wrong or unpracticed of me to call someone "Lovely Lady" when I don't actually know her? ;D hehehe

Sorry - I just couldn't resist
