I doubt any listener thinks the Fly 92.3 $10,000 Fugitive is a real honest to God criminal, I mean ya'll are New Yorkers but you're not THAT crazy.
We're all VERY close to radio and are obviously jaded by our close association. But to the typical listener that just wants to hear their favorite songs, win some prizes and be entertained; they get sucked into these promotions IF they're promoted and imaged well and they'll play along. Theatre of the mind.
Besides the real reason you do promotions/contests isn't to get winners it's to have fun with your audience. And this contest has a real bonding effect between the radio station and listeners.<P ID="signature">______________
