Arizona TV Station Update - March 2021

While KASW's translator atop Mingus is silent, we still get the programming
from their host channels. That is until today, currently, we are just getting CW
61.1 and none of the other subchannels........

Check your KSAZ translator...that's the host station for the rest of KASW's subchannels. K25OM-D from Mt. Francis and K36AE-D from Mingus Mtn.

Fox 10's translator on RF 36 Mingus Mtn is off the air. Rf 26 Mt Eldon
has no audio/video. Rf 25 Prescott is fine. Fox 10 via KUTP 10.2 is
fine on Rf 14, Rf 16 and Rf 28.......

Makes me wonder what has been going on with KJZZ-TV's dozens of translators. Those services are in ATSC 1.0 on other muxes now. I know KASW's owned translator was last reported silent by you.

From what I've heard, some of them, at least, are now carrying other stations from SLC. Some picked up KUTH, for example.

I wonder if they're experiencing the same problem that KAZT-CD did - damage from high winds - but either don't know there's a problem, or don't have the money to fix it right now. What part of the Valley are you in? I'm in west Chandler with full line of sight to the towers from about 8 miles away. I wondered if it was looking the same in the rest of the valley. Here, other LPTV stations drop out occasionally due to interference from Tucson stations, so pixellation and drop-outs don't necessarily mean that there's a problem.

I'm in Tempe near west Mesa, and there's been similar problems with Ch. 7 and its subchannels as well.

Given that your close to South Mountain, are you getting a signal for Ch. 14/38? I'm definitely not, which isn't surprising considering the terrible "hole" they've chosen to crawl down the last two years! But I digress. 😑

I'm in far NE Mesa, 25 miles from South Mountain. With my outdoor antenna, Ch. 7 is normally quite viewable. Now, not a trace of a carrier. I get a No Signal alert as soon as I change the channel to 7.1.

Re-scan. It worked for me.

I am now. Your favorite station is up again and at full strength. Was someone asleep at the wheel? I think they're toyin' wit ya, TMO! 😜
