I agree with Doc. Why carry a live news conference with Spitzer when he isn't exactly a household name outside NY (not like Giuliani and Bloomberg). More interesting than whether Spitzer stays or goes is why guys like him, Hart, Clinton, Vetter etc. go to hookers in the first place, and why wives usually stand by these two-timers.

12+ can be deceiving. How did KFYI do against KTAR 25-54??? If they buried 'em, then KTAR, FM signal/marketing/new lineup in an election year, has a BIG problem.

Exactly right. The A25-54 monthly extrapolation shows KTAR in 5th place, KFYI in 11th! It's only a monthly, but it sure looks like KTAR is doing something right......even though I have a hard time listening to the station these days.

The big story is that ALL of CBS's stations (KOOL, KZON and KMLE) plummeted, while KSLX (4th) and Movin' (6th) scored huge.

We'll leave the tea leaf reading to the Old Gringo as Nurse Jeff and I know monthly demos are consistenly inconsistent. But what is truly amazing is the overal strength of KFWhyEye compared to KT'R. By all accounts, they should be toast as TMISU have spent beau coup dollars on 92~Three in the past year and a half. KT'R has more local talkers, a larger news staff, an enormous advertising and marketing budget, plus they're on FM. In spite of the advantage KT'R has over it's competitor, KFWhyEye hangs in there and sounds more relevant and entertaining than just about anything KT'R offers. Nurse Jeff keeps reminding me to address the embarassment on between 7 and 10pm, but been there and done that. A tip of the fez to the Dudeboss...you are doing what the Master Blogger dreams about every night!

Despite the DISadvantages KFYI has to put up with (patches of dead air late nights and weekends due to automated operations, plenty of lame shows (Savage, C2C, The Other Side, etc.), dwindling news staff....they're still more likeable than KT'R. That's pretty sad, DEAD AIR beats KT'R!

Another Central Av Cheerleader surfaces!

The Master Blogger and TMISU can only wish their talkers (live and that train wreck called Beck) were as relevant as Limbaugh and Hannity. What's been the #1 news topic of the past two weeks and who has been not only behind it, but instrumental in making it happen? Hmmmmm.

You newstalk wannabes should consider a remedial course in Radio Progamming this summer at our Buckeye Media Hut. Nurse Jeff will gladly assist with the paperwork and take your money. ;D

Actually, Limbaugh and Hannity are relevant to the conservative listening audience. Don't you recall the news stories about McCain and the grilling he was taking from conservative talk-show hosts like Limbaugh and Hannity?

I'm curious to know which, if any, talk hosts you might consider to be relevant?

KTAR sounds like they're just throwing things against the wall to see what works. I expected to hear the hosts rip into Obama and Rev. Wright, but the station is becoming more and more a guy talk FM station. KFYI wins by default.

Gotta admit the Nurse and I laughed our burros off when we heard the "it's 3am and the White House phone is ringing" parody commercial done by Aunt Carlos. Every now and then we detect a spark of life at 92~Three and wonder if the Master Blogger will fan the flames. Nah....time for a change. Get the only man best suited for the job: The Chick Boss.
