@oldiesstation: I think I ended up spending $10 a copy for those when I replaced a couple of busted one on my former 1200 series board. Of course, the ridiculous $35 "processing fee' makes any order unappealing.
BTW: Have you priced out those VCA chips for each audio channel lately? Are you ready to take out a mortgage if you have to replace them? I had tubes of them I bought thanks to my local jobber as Arrakis wanted $25 a copy some years ago ... and each stereo channel uses two of them sucka's.
I had an ARC-10 that I bought 1 month after the original owner purchased it and the damaged gray end cap that was promised free to the original owner I was charged $30 - and all it looked like was ground and compressed paper pulp! Mind you, being told a two month old console no longer had a warranty because I was the second owner didn't sit well with me and I let everybody at Arrakis know this even though it made little difference to them.
I unloaded both my 1200-15 and the ARC-10 and vowed that no facility I would ever get involved with would have an Arrakis product if I had anything to say about it. I also replaced my personal console with a Dynamax. It may not be a fancy digital console but it's functional, reliable and most of all, I totally trust the entity that's now responsible for factory support for this product.
