As suspected... Roy Barboza to Hot 96.9

I heard JA Rule and J-Lo, "I'm Real" when I as driving to work yesterday around 850, then again at 545 on my way home. More variety would be nice.

Their real format: Baltazar is reuniting with Pebbles in the morning.

Don't be surprised if at least part of the show is simulcast on TV. Greater Media should seriously investigate that possibility.

How do you simulcast a music show on TV?

Touch was 106.1 WAS ILLEGAL but it was made legal in 2012 thanks to the Local Community Radio Act of 2011 thanks to Barack Obama. It's a private non profit 501(3)c that became legal in 2012.

No they are a pirate with FCC actions still pending. If you don't believe us take a look at their public file for their license? All radio stations public files are available to the public during business hours and must contain copies of their licenses. Or go to fcc.gov and look up their license there. You won't find one as they don't have one. They are as illegal as the drug dealer on the corner.

No, Obama did not suddenly make Touch 106.1 legal. He didn't waive the process of applying for a license. None of which, Touch has done.

Also, do you really think "thanks to Barack Obama" that he knows, cares or even gives a rat's ass about a 100w pirate station in Boston?? I would think that North Korea is a larger problem on his plate right now.

The reason Touch exists is that the local politicians have told the FCC "hands off" because of who they are.

There's also no reason a 501(c)3 organization can't be running an illegal activity. Happens all the time.

Applause. Roy is a great guy all around

roy is effing fantastic!! I recorded his lunch mix today. AWESOME stuff! Also I can tell the playlist has been totally revamped since he came aboard. Can already hear his influence. 96.9 sounding really really fresh.

They REALLY need to stop playing Alicia Keys girl on fire so freaking much. That's not even the best song on her album. STOP IT!

87.7 and 99.7 are the only pirates that have been shut down around here recently. 87.7 probably because they were running it as if it was a real station with advertising, events, etc. 99.7 was interfering with air traffic control. What about 89.3 that has been on the air for 12+ years? What about the other few dozen?
