We're market #7 now and the only market above us that is void of Antenna TV's sister network Rewind TV is Philadelphia (#4). Rewind TV is having a better rollout with affiliates than Me-TV Plus (which launched 4 months earlier). Both feature retro series. I don't think Me-TV Plus even has a website. According to Wikipedia Me-TV Plus has only 5 affiliates (home owned stations in Chicago and Phoenix, with September 2021 expansion to non owned stations in Seattle, Bellingham, Washington and Los Angeles). Rewind TV has close to 60 affiliates already. I'm not sure what is holding up the Me-TV Plus expansion unless they think it will syphon off regular viewers of Me-TV. Needless to say, Atlanta would rather see these sub-channels added here than a gardening channel, lifestyle channel, another news or shoe channel (they seem to be running out of ideas).
What is holding WSB up? They were one of the first to light up their sub-channels, then other Atlanta stations joined in and passed them up. They now have only 3 channels (tied with WGCL 46) the fewest of all full power stations. WSB seemed to get burned and made early mistakes in selecting sub-channels that didn't soon got replaced by another one. Could this be what continues to hold them back? Some stations lead, while others just sit back and watch. Sub-channels have turned into money makers and that's what continues to drive their expansion.
