Any thoughts
Is this the first time Streetz 94.5 showed up in the ratings? Impressive for a translator. Z105.7 didn’t do very well. CHR isn’t doing too well right now. I’ve noticed the CHR chart is very Urban heavy right now. Seems like when this has happened in the past, it turns away listeners from the CHR stations and moves them over to the Urban stations.
Does anyone know of the ratings for the new 105.5 FM? They seem to be on the rise with Chubb Rock & SiMan Baby at the helm of the mornings.
Well, they need some inspirational help down there. This past weekend over 24 shot, 4 killed including an 8 year old girl. I'd say Atlanta is going to hell.
WHY would anyone want to live there???
According to one ATL police officer: "The people causing trouble don't live here."Until Minneapolis most people in Atlanta were busy making money.
If you have or your family has lived in the area since the 1970’s (as my family has) the growth has been mind boggling. Ted Turner’s CNN and the Airport’s midfield terminal IMHO laid the groundwork for this growth. According to the Mayor of Atlanta over half of the retail store owners are non white inside the city limits of Atlanta. If you have the money, you can live and be accepted as a neighbor in any suburb around Atlanta. Atlanta City schools are not academic powerhouses. A lot of families that have worked hard and been successful have left southwest Atlanta (the traditional black side of town) seeking better schools and safer neighborhoods. My parents' next door neighbor when they lived in Marietta came from Southwest Atlanta. He sold jewelry and a large fortune buying and selling gold. He now lives in a gated community in Florida.
It use to be in Atlanta the only color that mattered was how much money you had. The unofficial slogan of Atlanta was “The city too busy to hate”. It really should be “The city too busy making money to care”.

(end of political talk)
I feel Atlanta has a large group of LGBT followers that might play in to ratings.Say WSTR would run with this format might be big in numbers Aug ratings.
Men, women, gay, straight and every other identifiable group has diverse tastes in music, literature, even TV shows and restaurants.
