I'm guessing 106.3 is a tough pickup in Manhattan because of all the buildings. When I lived in Jersey City it was tough to pull in probably for the same reason.
jvn said:The radio locator post showing the coverage map is wrong since the WHTG calls moved to the 98.5 freq in ocean county. Here is the correct signal pattern for 106.3 FM with new Call Letters WKMK:Eatontown

The 98.5 Signal does not reach past southern Monmouth county.
Jeffrey said:I'm curious about something...I occasionally tune in to Country 92.5 in Hartford out of curiosity as I'm often within listening range. I'm ignorant about country music and not a fan but I have to wonder what the appeal is to northerners.
I hear songs about preachers, bibles, pick up trucks, tractors, plowing fields, drinking beer, etc...While these words aren't used in every song, they are a big part of the music.
What is it about this music that people can relate to or keeps them listening in this part of the country?

And if Clear Channel has its way and moves it into the Hartford market, this will be a goner. (For more information, read the Connecticut board.)
