Audacy Philadelphia

I think a more likely major change in Philadelphia (which would probsnly require a bankruptcy filing) would be to reduce the physical footprint of their relatively new leaded HQ space in center city. With the change in the office space market since the pandemic they might try and renegotiate their lease or move to another building to take advantage of less expensive office rents available today.

An expensive move and the amount of time that takes would not help the immediate issue of debt service. This is going to be done based on continued operations and some form of equity exchange with the lenders. Sales of stations individually and little things like reducing office space will not achieve that solution.

Yes, and some advertisers look at that but most don't.

Again, Nielsen does not measure cities and towns. They measure counties. Even the counties with places like Camden have other areas with higher incomes.
Indeed. You can't ignore Cherry Hill just because it's in the same county as Camden!

I lived in Moorestown for 2 years back many years ago.. i think many in that county would love to ignore Camden.

They will not break the cluster with the possible exception of 1210 AM which is not productive
I think the sooner audacy decides what to do with 1210 AM, the better for everyone involved, especially the people at the station. I think a religious broadcaster winds up getting it, if audacy chooses not to shut it down and sell the land. The owners of 640 AM, could get it and be on a better signal. I won't rule out EMF. VCY another possibility. I know they got 99.5 but that's not in Philadelphia proper.

Many in Collingswood would like to ignore Camden as well! (To be fair, the waterfront area of Camden is actually beautiful now and it doesn't feel unsafe at all.)

Yes, if I worked at 1210 I’d rather lose my job tomorrow rather than 6 months, 1 year or two years from now. Especially if I’m near retirement age! 😀
