They are so-so in Houston. Lots of Spanish language chatter. A far cry from the powerhouse of years past - I remember the station booming into Galveston even late afternoon. WLS music on the beach was really nice! I suspect it is the ground radial problem with new subdivisions up there.

I'm sure that's part of it along with all the stations that have cropped up in Mexico & the Caribbean on 890.

...there are several downloadable WLS airchecks at http://vasthead.com/Radio/distant.html that were recorded in Houston. Listen for yourself! ;-) ...
