AZ Family Anchor Carousel

Over the past several weeks, when Scott Pasmore has taken a week of vacation, Derek Staahl has filled in. He seems comfortable in the role and played off well with desk mate Tess Rafols and the Good Morning Arizona crew.

As mentioned on one of these threads, when Arizona's Family FINALLY solidified (and started advertising) their weeknight anchor teams, Derek was left out and is being used a substitute. Moving him to help in the mornings is a good idea.

However, could this be a tea leaves reading event? As Pasmore creeps closer to retirement age, would Staahl be his permanent replacement? The GMAZ producers are giving Derek a chance to work the program and get feedback? This reminds me of when Troy Hayden moved from Fox10 nights to mornings, eventually replacing the retiring Rick D'Amico.

Good observation! I, too, thought Derek did a great job subbing for Scott. However, what about Colton?
