B-94 Is Back!

Kicked off with a tribute to the old B-94, with old jingles. Started with a reference to 1981, and how beautiful music WJOI got killed for B-94 in the same year that MTV got started. First song then: Billy Joel - "You May Be Right".

The montage was a nice touch. "Pittsburgh had no B! For three years, it was hard to spell the name of our town correctly." Brilliant, clever campaign, I must say.

First song now:
Justin Timberlake - "Sexyback"

SexyBack is a GREAT choice for the return of REAL Top 40 radio in the 'Burgh.

I am from Philly and my wife is from Pitt. I remember growing up and knowing B94 was HERITAGE for PGH. When we first started dating it was the first station I put on when I got to Pittsburgh. 4 years later it's BACK and FANTASTIC!

Good job CBS!

Great imaging! Nice stunt and great opening montage. Nice B-94 retrospective and great "B is Back" positioning. Great job!

Sounds like they're using the ReelWorld KIIS 2007 package. My question is...why? It's a good package, but the WXKS package is great too and would have fit their slogan better.

Anyway, second song is "The Great Escape" by Boys Like Girls for those keeping count.

I have the flip and into sexyback.

I am still rolling "tape" (ha! i love adobe audition!)

If there is one thing I love it is the fact that CBS won't speed up records. CC does this WAY too often and makes the songs sound like poop.

I can't wait to take a trip back to Pittsburgh so I can hit the clubs on the Strip where B94 will be. Those were some great times a few years back.

No way will they have a 0.9 rating for the next book unless some of the zone is included.

"Who Knew" by Pink is playing now. A girl named Tina was on air reading text messages. Don't think it was live though.

The "Tina the text-taker" thing definitely sounded produced. And how are they suddenly getting texts? Did they give the number between Boys Like Girls and Kanye, because otherwise people wouldn't know who to text to...
