Watch the top left title bar when you click this link
http://classic931.com/main.html
And watch the same top left title bar when you click this link
http://931hot.com/main.html
And again
http://931feelit.com/main.html
You briefly see the text "Sacramento's New 93.1" before it re-directs you to a blank page.
If you do the same groove931.com, talk931.com, or soft931.com, you don't get the same result. So, could we be narrowed down to either a "classic" or "hot" type station?
Classic suggests Classic Hits or Classic Rock.
Hot suggests Urban or Rhythmic or Urban AC, but why? We have that covered by KSFM and KBMB and KHYL (Clear Channel) already.
Clear Channel's Sacto cluster is very old demographically, do you think they might just take a stab at a Rhythmic or Urban to "youthen" (is that a word?) their cluster sales-wise?
Nice observation. When I click on each link, the address bar defaults back to http://classic931.com/pages/blank.html after flashing "Sacramento's New 93.1". This leads me to believe the site will indeed be "classic931.com". And there is the Classic 93.1 logo that was found on one of the pages; none for "Feel It" or "Hot".
Do you think the pollock pines 93.1 will inherit the patterson 93.1 transmitter? I'm guessing that based on the signal changes a few years ago, that it's not that old. And if so, will this have bearing on when the Sac signal signs on?Madmansam said:I wonder how long after KOSO moves to 92.9, when CC signs on the New Sacramento 93.1?
As I mentioned in another thread, they have KCLX noted on their streaming player....Timmy said:This just looks weird: http://www.931hot.com/main.html
Name like HOT and then classic hits in all the elements. Top 20 Videos, Beach Boys summer classics, etc...
I noticed that too, but right now they are playing Alternative Rock Music with hourly id's as KHJQ. Maybe this is just a stunt?Hunter said:As I mentioned in another thread, they have KCLX noted on their streaming player....Timmy said:This just looks weird: http://www.931hot.com/main.html

Maybe they are planning a Sacramento version of "The Bland"....er band...

Yes! In fact, to an average listener who didn't know of the switch to 92.9 and if they don't hear those hourly id's, Most would think that KOSO switched to an Alternative Rock Format. The signal is so strong, it wipes out KOSO's new position at 92.9. Funny thing though, when KOSO made the switch late last night, For about 5 minutes, I could still hear KOSO at their new frequency (albeit with a much weaker signal, in par with how I can hear KJSN-102.3) as well as KRZZ-93.3, which sounded very strong. I haven't heard that frequency since around 2003 when KOSO first increased their power. Then when KHJQ signed on, There went both KOSO-92.9 AND KRZZ-93.3kenrayc said:Madmansam said:I noticed that too, but right now they are playing Alternative Rock Music with hourly id's as KHJQ. Is the signal for the new 93.1 just as good as the old KOSO signal in Stockton.
