B98.5 is the strangest AC station period.....
Where are (all on the AC chart or were recently):
Lady Antebellum - Need You Now
Train - Hey, Soul Sister
Michael Buble - Havent Met You Yet
Rob Thomas - Someday/Her Diamonds
Kelly Clarkson - Already Gone (why play MLWSWY which didn't chart on AC but not this one)?
Colbie Caillat - Fallin' For You

Ooh! I know...I know! Q100's playlist from just today!![]()
I can see changing 70s/80s/90s twice a year, but currents need to be added as they climb up the chart. That's how 90% of AC's probably do it. I have never heard an AC as strange as 98.5 and hope I never hear another one.rodneyho said:B98.5 for years has been extraordinarily slow about playing currents and only adding songs long after they had grown stale on Star 94. The station only changes its playlist twice a year. That's the Bob Neil way. It works because its listeners aren't the types who care or pay attention to new music and need something familiar to play as background music while they shuttle the kids around town or toiling away at work.
