Combining six FMs to get a #3 ranking? I would have thought that in this market, you could pick any six FMs at random and they would rank higher than #3 combined.

It would be nice to know what the sirens were all about last night, if there's
a string of assaults or robberies happening, if homes are being burglarized, etc.
It would be really nice to know if there's a big wreck tying up traffic on Atherton St., without sitting for half an hour, wondering what's going on.
Especially if it could be avoided with a little fore-warning.
If an 18 yr. old is arrested for DUI, some parents would like to know before they allow their daughter to ride with him.
Whose house was on fire yesterday? Does the family need help? Around here, it's "Who knows?"
Somebody mentioned that the State College Police are totally un-cooperative.
I don't know about PSP Rockview, but I'll bet if a reporter publicly asks the Borough Council at every meeting why the Police aren't releasing what should be public information, other people would start asking also.

Re: WPSU: #1 and Insignificant?

> Thanks, though you might want to check the voter
> registration rolls (GOP is the minority in Centre County).

From Centre County's website:

REGISTERED VOTERS TOTAL . . . . . . 86,622
REGISTERED VOTERS DEMOCRATIC . . . . 32,767
REGISTERED VOTERS REPUBLICAN . . . . 38,313
REGISTERED VOTERS NON-PARTISAN . . . . 15,542

Actually, the non-partisan voters are in the minority. Only if you add the non-partisans and the Democrats are GOP's the minority. But who ever said there have to only be two categories? GOP is clearly the largest pool of registered voters in Centre County.
